Georgia Vietnam Veterans Board of Directors
Some have asked who governs GVVA. The Board of Directors is ultimately responsible. However, the day-to-day operations are run by the President Marvin Myers. When it comes to approving expenses our Treasurer Jack Moses oversees the checks written and signs the checks.
- Marvin Myers served two tours in Vietnam including one as a commander of an Armed Helicopter Platoon and one with the 4th Infantry Division as the Operations Officer of the Aviation Battalion.
- Bob Humphries served with the 1st Infantry Division as an Infantryman in the 16th Infantry.
- Rich Sale was an Army Aviator and served in the 92nd Assault Helicopter Company
- Mike Finch served in the Marine Corps including the battle of Khe Sahn.
- Jack Moses served in the Air Force as both an Air Commando and a crew chief of C-123 Aircraft.
- Carol Apostal was married to the founder of our chapter in Lafayette and now as his widow helps us with being our secretary.
- Gene Tatum was also an Infantryman in Vietnam.
- Al Rowe was an engineer n Vietnam and retired from the Army. He is a Master Parachutist with 485 jumps.
- David Luttrell designed all of our artwork and served in the Air Force.
- Robert Ledee served as an aviator in the Marine Corps in Vietnam and other conflicts.
- Dick Goddard served in Vietnam and is also a Master Parachutist.
- Bob Ritter served as a Forward Air Controller in the Air Force and went back flying refueling missions over North Vietnam for two more tours.
- Van Valkenberg served with the Air Force in Korea.
- Chuck Clements is an Era Veteran.
